Hotel Milan Speranza Au Lac - Stresa

This place suits me perfectly, with free wi-fi, a bar/lounge, and 24-hour reception providing everything I need. I still remember how the staff helped me with my luggage on my first stay. I recommend trying the restaurant for its attentive service. I'm coming back for a romantic escape.

The rooms are well-designed and compact with delicious breakfasts included. The location is very central, just off restaurant, and the boats, trains, buses and the town centre of Stresa. Besides, we visited a mountain cable car, located approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Staff were brusque and unhelpful. Internet access was at a booth and 5 Euro per 15 minutes. Security of keys when absent was poor. Twice in 5 days I retreived my own key from its store compartment. Hotel is really two hotels, the Milan and the Speranza. I thought I booked for what turned out to be the Milan but was placed in the Speranza. A tired hotel.

I was almost ready to give a decent review, but the nightmares of my stay haunt me. I heard every whisper from neighbors, while the supposed soundproof balcony door did nothing. After noticing dusty bed covers, i woudl ve been thrilled with a complimentary room upgrade, but alas, not for me. Absolute disappointment.

The location was great although it is noisy when the door is open but not much you can do about that. The staff and very helpful. It was great that the door was double glazed. The air con is noisy so we left it off and the room was hot. I would consider upgrading the air con.

No complaints just some positive suggestions. You need to upgrade the beds and definitely the pillows. They were very bad. Suggest you offer feather pillows. The breakfast bufffet could be improved upon. Cut up fresh fruit with some other options like bircher museli would be nice. I would also offer free internet to guests. Your prices are high. We left Stresa for Switzerland and France and they all offered free wifi

bathroom badly designed and poor quality, room was too big for a couple I just wanted the view and I got the 209 room in addition which certainly contributed for the higher price.on the recommandation below, if "No" is ticketed it does not mean that I would not recommand but rather that I will not think of recommanding this hotel in particular.

The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant staff run a very impressive facility to a high standard, The view from my room was wonderfull and breathtaking and will remain the abiding image of our holiday. The room cleaning staff were very helpfull and work hard in keeping the rooms fresh and clean.

Yes, the cost of using the Internet facility is the most expensive I have ever seen anywhere in the world. It is disgracefully slow and in my opinion borders upon being unusable.Twenty Euros for one hour is disgusting!! Either the Hotel or Swisscom are ripping off the Hotel patrons outrageously. It leaves a lasting bad memory of an otherwise very good hotel.

A Wonderful Escape with Fine Lake Views

Our group enjoyed a nice three-night stay with amazing lake views from our spacious room. The complimentary access to the nearby pool was a good surprise. A mini fridge, and we relished the fantastic dining options next door. Don't miss the delicious breakfast offerings!
